About Us
LGV Drivers Choice was established in 2006 to meet the needs of new European and existing training requirments for Large Goods Vehicle Drivers involved in the Transport and Distribution Sector.
In 2003, as part of another project, The City & Guilds Institute, London, recognised the value to Drivers of our training material and invited us to formulate The City & Guilds 3291 Level 3 Technical Certificate in Driving Goods Vehicles. The qualification took two years to complete and was launched by Dr. Stephen Ladyman Minister for Transport in September 2005.
This certification can be offered nationally as its own set aside qualification or it can be used against an NVQ in Carrying and Delivering Goods, as evidence of the required underpinning knowledge.
We are in the unique position of being able to offer fully narrated home study packs wrapped around the qualification or even classroom based guided learning sessions, using a City & Guilds 7307 Instructor, qualified in teaching adults.
We also have a City & Guilds 3929 instructor qualified in delivering Digital Tachograph sessions, having been trained by VDO Siemens.
